Woooo!

Most of you have seen the pictures of the different furniture pictures I have refurbished in our house (coffee/side tables of living room, dining room table, end table, etc). Well, I have one more item to add to the list of what I have done! I just finished re-upholstering our wing chair. I beat Matt with starting the project before he could get a picture of what it looked like before but this is the closest I have.
Here is an up close picture of the fabric that I put on it!
As much as I loved the off white fabric that it was in, when it was moved to up here it got dirty and when I tried to cleaned it the spots just spread no matter what I did. So, I decided I would try my luck and re-upholster it! I have never done a full chair before, only the seats of our dining room chairs which was super easy and surprisingly this one quite easy for me to do also! Here are all the pictures throughout the process, enjoy!
Thanks to my dear friend and neighbor, Veronica I was able to complete my project by using her sewing machine (Mine bit the dust when I used it to make outdoor cushions for my bud, Natalie.. it was old... new one to come eventually when the budget allows!).

The end product: The old has been given new life! I am so happy with how it turned out!

The Rough Patch

On our way to town yesterday and.....
OH NO!!! We are going to run into the excavator!
Woo, missed it by that much! And off the road we go on
to the feet of dirt they brought in from the shoulder of the road.
Around the excavator...
And back to the road we go!

Pictures are taken on Highway 83's newest development between base and town (talked about in a past blog).
